Trade him. Sign Darren McCarty to a ten-day contract. Send D-Mac out to teach Larkin how hockey used to be played before his buddies, a group of prima donnas, got together with Kash Patel. This becomes the pillar around which the Red Wings rebuild their franchise, with a seminal moment a la Fight Night at the Joe when Larkin feels the weight of Detroit's enmity in the form of a fist. He has sorely underestimated Detroit's ability to hold a grudge and settle it. As Darren McCarty once said, "hockey players have long memories."
