Late September, gloomy Monday morning,
A white vapor shrouds the locust trees,
which shed little yellow leaves that blow everywhere.
The pines stand out against the yellow foliage and they obscure
the desert red train cars paused on the tracks.
The morning begs for spooky movies,
like Pet Sematary and Stephen King's Graveyard Shift.
The latter is about man-eating rats at a New England mill.
It was during a commercial during that one, sipping coffee,
when I heard it:
"Side effects may include penile fracture during an erection."
